Do you get any light activity when you try starting it? Google these BlackBerry Knowledge Base articles. KB26808, KB27705, KB26516 KB26708.

No, it shouldn't.

 

In that case you need to try to connect to your PC with the BlackBerry Desktop Software running. If you get the message on the PC to update, retry, etc., go with the update. This will wipe all personal data from the device, but it should get you back up and running.
