I have the Playbook and have no luck connecting it to my computer. I have googled answers but have found no solution to work for me. It used to work, but for some reason has stopped now.
Windows 7 64bit
Blackberry Playbook v184.108.40.2066
Blackberry Desktop Software 220.127.116.11
Blackberry Device Manager 18.104.22.168
Blackberry Link 22.214.171.124
I know the USB cable works as i use it also for my Z10.
Your support would be appreciated.

Install the latest Blackberry Link 1.1.1. Even if you don't use it, it may fix the drivers. Or try using it instead. There are pdf manuals online for Desktop and for Link.
It's one of the major problems with windows esp 64bit. Unfortunately I use Apple Mac with Link so no experience, but there's many posts about this problem. Every one has a different fix.
For simple file copy use wifi

Just tried my 9800, connection seem s to work fine. Tried the Playbook again, updated Playbook OS over interweb, then when it had finished and I disconnected Playbook, it updated OS again over Wifi connection, and then decide it did not want to talk to computer. Installed Link 1.1.1 yesterday, so no joy there then. Any further suggestions please??

I am beginning to feel like an **bleep**. I have plugged in my Playbook and computer Win7 pro 64 bit, tells me its connected along with it's BBN number,or whatever it is. The desktop software will not recognise it. Desktop will communicate with my 9800 though. Any suggestions??

I am totally shocked at this, I just bought a play book today and have spent the last 6 or 7 hours trying to figure this out shocking performance from RIM. I upgrade my phone next month it won't be a BB and the amateurish PB is going back,... doesn’t work with windows 7 unbelievable.
Very poor RIM.

Maybe RIM should have their own PC based operating system and all this will just go away. Is it not more realistic this is compatibility issue whereas RIM should be fixing and not Microsoft???

The issue is not JUST with Microsoft bu also didn't work on Mac.
From the research i have done, apparently it was an issue that came up with the new update on the playbook.
Some people have said turning off wifi and bluetooth worked but it didn't work for me.
