Slow start since new OS installed on Playbook

Since I downloaded the new operating system this week it now takes 4 minutes for the Playbook to load after I start it.

It was very quick to start before this download.

I have tried deleting any programs that I am not using but this does not speed it up.

I have the 16 GB model CE0560

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks so much.

Re: Slow start since new OS installed on Playbook

The new operating system does take about 3-4 minutes to reboot.

You are not alone.

Likewise. Nature of the beast, I'm afraid.

I'd be intereseted to know if the boot time would be any shorter if one did the hard reset to restore the PB to it's 'as shipped' configuration, then doing the OS2 upgrade? I would've done this already if I didn't have the large number of apps that I presently do (paid & free).

What's a hard reset?

Do you mean you simply did a security wipe? Or what?

You can do the secure wipe. You will get the same results. Hard or factory is holding the Vol. Up Button and Vol. Down Button, then press the Power Button. Holding all three at the same time for several secconds. Be very careful because this can reset your tablet. Removing all data.

That's nothing of the sort, it's just a simple reset. Restart, nothing more. There's nothing factory reset about it at all.
