Stolen PlayBook

I had my Playbook stolen yesterday. I didn't have a passwork on it.  It sucks enough that I lost it but I wanted to know if there was any way to to tack it or at least wipe the data.  Its a WIFI playbook.  Please advise

Re: Stolen PlayBook

If you had email, twitter, facebook etc on it, change your passwords NOW.

Other than that it's gone forever and not traceable or accessible.

Re: Stolen PlayBook

Change the password in your Blackberry ID account. Then change all your passwords for your email accounts. This also applies to any stored passwords for banking, and business.

If the culpret is intelligent and knows what he is doing, he can take over all your internet life, and have any personal info from the Playbook in a very short time.

This is why it is wise to have your valuable information (tablet) passworded and kept locked when not in use.

Re: Stolen PlayBook

Contact BlackBerry. Be prepared to give them the BBID, password and PIN number. They can disable it.

How do they disable a wifi only tablet?  We established some time ago that BB protect can't be applied to tablets either.

Re: Stolen PlayBook

And good friend of mine from the East Coast packed his PlayBook in his luggage on a flight from Florida to PEI. When he got home, no PlayBook. I told him to call BlackBerry which he did. They told him they would disable it. So it is useless to anyone who buys it. I don't know how they do it, they told him they would. Be careful what you buy from Kijiji.
