Sync PB contacts whith new Z10

I searched the board on this spedific topic but didn't find any discussion. I tried to sync the 2 devices. I had them both connected to my PC. Both devices showed up in BB Link but when I selected 'Sync Contacts and Calendar' my only choice was to sync with Windows. I don't want to sync with my windows data as there are far more contacts and many different contacts on my Window system than I have or want on my mobile devices.

You can't sync the contacts from the Playbook to the Z10, sorry.

You can are your PlayBook contacts those which you manually typed in, or how?

Re: Sync PB contacts whith new Z10

You can try backing up your Playbook and then restoring that backup your Z10.

I am not postive this will work, but I think it will.

The Z10 will not recognize any of my PB backups.

Re: Sync PB contacts whith new Z10

Have you clicked on the "legacy device. Backup" option? Was the backup of the PlayBook made with Link or the desktop software?

Re: Sync PB contacts whith new Z10

I used the desktop program to backup the PB. I guess I might get a different result if I use Link to back t up first.

Re: Sync PB contacts whith new Z10

These sort of things are fundemental to the business community why do RIM not address these issues as a matter of urgency? Contacts and Calenders are the bedrock of business. If they truely want to be the platform of choice they need to get their finger out! I muddle on with the Z10 and Playbook. Blackberry Link is a disaster. I have never been able to log on as it says I am not attacted to the internet which, of course, I am. I read a thread dated 2012 saying we would be able to sync outlook with playbook soon but still nothing. Apple demos are scary, everything just works. Syncronization across all your devices is auotmatic and they work hard to continue to improve. I don't see much coming from RIM either in catching up or innovation. Will there be a revelation at some point? I am truely fed up of always being on ther back foot waiting while others march on with improvements.
