Is there a program for the Playbook that does like the one on the phone that shows when there is new information available on Twitter

Well nothing is free anyway, you always end up paying even for fre stuff :-)

I know Blaq does have notifications it but it's not free
You were right Blaq does have notification, but it is by no mean like the one on the phone, this must open in order to work :-(
I was expecting some thing that does not need to be kept on the screen in order to work, but mostly some thing that would/can work in the background

Right now there's no notification system in place for developers on the PlayBook - so this is the only way it works right now.
However, when BlackBerry 10 is released on the PlayBook later this year we should see these features open up - and know the Blaq author - he'll be using those notifications straight away.
Just sit tight.
You are wrong on that John, there is a notification, the led is blinking white when there is a new message in twitter, the problem is that the program must be open for the whole thing to work unlike the program that we have on the phone that you open only to read the message(s), and that mean that you can only have one or two other program running if you want to keep up with the Twitter message(s).

Do not get me wrong John, I like the program and I do not blame the programmer, I am just suggesting some thing for the future
Since you know them, congratulate them for me on a job well done
