I am unable to charge my playbook using USB cable (PC) after latest OS update.
Seems this is a known issue, is there a workaround ?
Any help would be much appreciated.

A PC or Mac using USB2 cannot deliver enough power for a net gain in charge whilst screen is awake, so unless you are prepared to leave it in a live PC all night with Playbook in Standby you will not get a net charge.
USB3 may have enough power (1500 mA) but Playbook OS 2.1 may still block it.
You can modify a USB extension cable by cutting the green and white wires and connecting them together on the Playbook side of the cut, and insulating them on the charge side, then it will not give the error message and block the charge. This will then work on USB2.0 and USB car chargers, but do it at your own risk.

When you connect your computer and PlayBook you will get a notification in the upper left corner. Tap it before the BB Desktop Software opens and it will state that the usb cable will not recharge the PlayBook.
Not if you use the modified cable.
