Re: Unable to start my playbook

I am having this same issue. Just started this week. Same flashing lights as well, one, pause, then 4 in a row. Tried all the reboot, hard reset, nothing seems to work.

Re: Unable to start my playbook

Ok, sorry, I don't know what all you've done.

Keep trying that for now: charging and trying the power button for 20 seconds.

All in all, when you have spent time trying different chargers, stack charging, playing with the power button, etc etc, soon there comes a time when you have to either perform surgery or consign it to the recycling bin.

All these solid state devices like phones, tablets, pocket cameras, portable radios, have a life span probably about twice the warranty period, and are more expensive to repair than to replace. Maybe I wouldn't trash my MacBook at first fail, but the Playbook will not last me much longer than the 18 months I have had it, maybe another six months, then it will start to play up too.

Re: Unable to start my playbook

True, in general for solid state devices, like you say.

However, my three PlayBooks, all purchased in April and May 2011 are still running well... 2-6-27 months later.
