Re: Update 2.1.0.1314 is released

After being on installing "sys.data.imf.pt_PT" for an hour I unplugged and rebooted.  Everyting was fine and still showed I had bundle 1088.  I plugged into the AC adapter and connected to wi-fi and get the message that an update was availabe.  I downloaded and it went quicker.  I got to step 2 (installation) and then noticed a message on the Playbook that the update had been interrupted.  It then started again on its own at step 1 of 2 (downloading) only now it is a 409 MB download instead of the earlier 37 MB one and it shows it's downloading 2.1.0.1314.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  Smiley Frustrated

I'm just going to leave it overnight, see what happens.

You are likely downloading the whole fresh OS all over again.

Be patient, that could take several hours.

This is what I have crossed out in my previous post on page 1..others have reported this also. I have seen 7 people make reference to a 400+ MB download. Maybe I should uncross it then?

Anyhow, I am liking the update - a lot!

The 4G LTE update is contingent on your carrier - not so much RIM. They've released the update to their channels and the carriers test them before rolling them out to you the customer. It will come, but when, that's up to your carrier.

Re: Update 2.1.0.1314 is released

same error, well same'ish mine says 1 of 68 - not 1 of 69

also for unexplicable reasons the one has turned red'ish, sort of dark red rather than black text..

stalled update

Re: Update 2.1.0.1314 is released

I would forget BlackBerry Desktop. Just plug in your PlayBook, or make sure it has enough juice in the battery, and update it using your WiFi. This method seems to work well. Having said that your input must be useful to someone monitoring this thread.

Good luck.

...because you are now downloading and updating with the entire OS file, not just the small update.

Re: Update 2.1.0.1314 is released

Os i got it all figured out, thanks to a suggestion ealrier in this thread.

Don't bother using the Blackberry Desktop Software to update.

I just plugged in my Playbook, opened up the Software Updates in the dropdown menu, and the update took about 5 minutes to install. No issues at all.
