Very weak Wi-fi signal after screen replacement.

Hi all

After replacing my screen due to a crack, the wi-fi signal turned significantly low. Before I would scan and find around 5 or 6 signals. Now I can barely find mine and I have to basically sit by the router to get it to work properly. We craked it open againto check if we had missed any connections, but all is in place. Checked antenna connections and it is all good. we can't seem to find what It could be.

Thanks

I'd start to eliminate all factors outside of the PlayBook itself first if I was troubleshooting this myself. For example, I'd delete my connection to the router stored within the PlayBook and re-add it manually once more after a full reboot. I'd also check my router settings themselves (especially the channels it's selecting) and try and see if my router manufacturer had a firmware update for my router. Though those steps might not help you at all, they'd at least be eliminated as being part of the problem and would help narrow it down to the screen replacement itself. I have never been inside my own PlayBook so I can't offer you advice on pitfalls to look out for...sorry.

Also, read this for specific steps on how to redo your wi-fi connection: http://royceeddington.com/?p=3695
