WIFI Authentication Problems

[ Edited ]

Playbook connects immediately with OPEN connections. I have tried WEP and WPA personal repeatedly. Playbook fails the authentication and will not connect. All other devices work fine with WPA personal. Is there something I am missing?

sorry for the double post

Re: WIFI Authentication Problems

Would you perhaps have enabled MAC filtering? Are you able to connect after a 3 button reset?

Re: WIFI Authentication Problems

Try recycling or rebooting your router. What mode are you trying to connect at.

Re: WIFI Authentication Problems

Already did all of that plus I added the MAC for the PB and tried both ways.

Re: WIFI Authentication Problems

Many tries using WEP, WPA. Rebooted router several times. 2 laptops using WPA work fine. Play book fails authentication every time, but connects instantly when the connection is set to open.

Set your router data encryption to AES and see what happens.

Re: WIFI Authentication Problems

Have you updated you router's firmware to the latest?

If your router is several years old you may want to change it?
