Re: Wifi signal strength

[ Edited ]

With regards to using a spare wireless router as a means to extend a signal, this idea works well for me and was already doing it. Just a matter of stringing the cable so that it is not too visible and acceptable to other people (aka wife) in my house.

Re: Wifi signal strength

I have been looking at getting a Travel Router. The beauty of these, is that you don't need to string the wire. They just plug into any electrical outlet within wifi range and then rebroadcast the signal. can be used in other modes too. The Dlink DIR-505 is popular:http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/connect/shareport/dir-505-shareport-mobile-companion
