Re: Will there be BlackBerry 10 for BlackBerry PlayBook? No signs from BlackBerry Live 2013 yet

Yes, I read the article.  The reply from BB had a hashtag, which means it wasn't a PM.  JSanders, after I posted the link to the tweet, you wrote, "Please show me a quote from an actual RIM executive or employee stating the "beginning of June"."  The tweet is from an employee.  If you were an employee of a giant company, would you post false information willy-nilly on Twitter?  The way I'm interpreting this tweet is that this person has knowledge of an upcoming BB10 update and the reason he took his tweet down 23hrs (or more) after posting it is because the CEO's inner circle hadn't filled him in on the secrecy of it all.

Anyway, in the interest of ending our little debate, I'll grant you that "a few weeks" can turn into "a few months".  There really is no official month/day declaration, yet, which I guess is what you are saying.  Take care.

Right, but since that tweet was obviously redacted, it can't be considered as a legitimate source of information.

Anyway, we're all on the same boat here.

Thanks, Chaos, interesting thread. Still no new information or dates.

Personally, I don't anything PlayBook related will be released or even announced for the next couple months since it would interfere with and dilute the Z10/Q10/Q5 launches and detract from the media focus on that success.

Ya, nothing official...but those screenshots look yummy! That's the first positive signs I've seen in a long long time...Kyle has BBM and the web browser working on the BB 10 on the PlayBook and no one has been able to demonstrate that yet. Oh and those following along, don't try this at home. It WILL 100% brick your PlayBook unless you do a workaround that hasn't been disclosed as how to do yet...so better just join me in drooling for the time being...and I'm overlooking some obvious scaling issues at this time too.

Oh the fact that Kyle has it running on his PlayBook is no doubt.

However having it released by Blackberry... no where near that point yet.

Yup, I agree. Anyhow here is a video of it running on the PlayBook http://nerdberry.net/2013/06/05/video-shows-blackberry-10-up-and-running-on-the-playbook/ and it shows timeshare running with the camera , the browser, calendar etc. There are scaling issues and bugs, but it's progress...

I'm getting excited!
