Re: Windows 8 - Print to go - Complete failure

An interesting Twist:

Although I downloaded  Blackberry Print to go 1.0.161.exe    this file installs drivers 1.0.141 which I am able to see in the print managment console.

Uninstalling Printtogo does not remove  this driver.

When I uninstall diver 1.0.141 manually and then reinstall PTG1.0.161.exe    the driver appears back again as 1.0.141

How do I get around that?

Pete

Have you updated all the files for your computer from the Windows Update site, both critical and Optional?

Since it appears that Win8 is not uninstalling the old driver, how about changing the name of the file or manually deleting it if you can find it. I'm just pulling at straws now.

When you do an uninstall, do you do a reboot of your computer before doing a new reinstall?

Re: Windows 8 - Print to go - Complete failure

Why does the program 1.161.0.exe     install driver 1.141.0?

Re: Windows 8 - Print to go - Complete failure

I am not sure this will be helpful, but.  I use Open Office instead of MS Office. Try this idea, install Open Office - it is FREE - and try to see if this app will work with Print to Go. If not you, lost some time trying, if yes there may be an incompatibility problem between Win8, MS Office and Print to Go.

What make and model of computer are you using?. Check their website to see if they have some firmware upgrades available.
