Hello had some trouble with my blackberry screen this past month its been flickering and going dull but sometimes its been fine with no problems just odd occasions now its just black and gray and can't see anything. Contacted Blackberry got sent of for repair and spoke to them on phone today and they said HDMI port damage. I didn't even know it had one as I never used it. So can a damaged HDMI port affect the blackberry itself as in the screen? Thanks

I guess if the hdmi port connects. TV screen to the playbook screen, a short or open circuitin the socket or the surrounding board could affect it, same as a damaged headphone socket could affect the speakers. This diagnosis would void any warranty as it is classed as user damage.
I'm rockin the BlackBerry DTEK60, Passport, Z30, Z10, Q10, BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker, 64 gig PlayBook,BT Headset HS-700
