Youtube video makes the browser to crash

[ Edited ]

I'm trying to make a company's website to work on PlayBook, but the browser keeps crashing because of a youtube embed.

I've embedded the video into a blank page to test it, and it's still crashing. Here is the test link:  http://www.jumpeye.com/temp/blackberry/crash.html and here is the website that keeps crashing : http://www.snackwebsites.com/

Sometimes it crashes at page load, and when it's not crashing at page load, it's crashing when the video is started.

I've tested this with a virtual machine, downloaded from blackberry.com because I do not own a real tablet.

Any solutions for this issue?

Thanks,

Gabriel

Then the emulator is not 100% like the tablet.

Thank you for your time !

Just wondered why anyone thought it would not work on playbook?

Or is this an elaborate advert for their site?

Re: Youtube video makes the browser to crash

Don't you think that if the video crashes on an emulator provided by blackberry, the producer might wonder if it crashes on a real tablet too?

The blackberry support forum is not a very visited one. We are investing serious money in advertising and forums are not a target.

You can test my links with an emulator, to see the bug ...

Re: Youtube video makes the browser to crash

I don't use the simulator as I have the hardware. But if you just want to test your website then I'd suggest downloading the Ripple emulator instead.

Fair enough, but it's done a lot in forums, first ever posting "try this site, I cant see it....".   Gets it up the Google ratings!

If there's serious money involved i would add to the budget some expense for some common hardware. Until BB fix the bugs in Playbook I would not trust their own emulator to include all the current bugs and not introduce new ones.
