access provider webmail on PB

Happy Saturday. I was just trying to access dccnet/eastlink.ca webmail from my playbook and keep getting the error message "the network is unavailable. Please try again later."  Is there a setting in my browser that I have to change? Thanks in advance for any insight, cheers

Re: access provider webmail on PB

It should require nothing special. You can't even get to login page?

Isn't that the message you get when wifi is not connected? Is the wifi icon all green or all white?

Or is that the only website you have a problem with?

I just tried that URL, it's not valid.

Re: access provider webmail on PB

Hi JSanders, the actual web address is http://coastcable.com/internet/webmail.aspx

I can open that site, but, when I click on webmail access, that is when I get the error.  Still playing a bit with different browser settings. Thanks for any insight you may have. cheers

Yep, exact same here. I can access the main page, but when I click on the "Access Webmail", I get the same error message. It's got to be some issue with their website or some permission setting, I don't know which.

i can access it just fine here on my PC.

This may help you setup an email account on the PlayBook using the email settings they provide:

http://coastcable.com/CustomerSupport/Internet/FAQs/Email.aspx

I would steer away from webmail and input it natively. Problem averted.

Re: access provider webmail on PB

Thank you both for taking a look at it. I thought I was missing something, as I can get my Telus webmail no problem. I will set it up as native and avoid the frustration. Thanks again and see you with the next question. Smiley Happy
