connecting through SonicWall VPN

Has anyone managed to connect to a file server through a SonicWall VPN? The only vpn connection profiles are for Cisco routers.

Re: connecting through SonicWall VPN

The dropdown list of profiles included more than just Cisco routers, though I don't recall seeing any SonicWall stuff listed.

I don't have my developer PlayBook yet so I can't reference one to confirm, but I played with one briefly at Staples last week and it had probably about 15 different profiles listed.

How many does yours have?  Did you try to scroll through the list?

Re: connecting through SonicWall VPN

there are 8 options in the gateway type. 4 of them are Cisco . There is CheckPoint, Juniper, Microsoft IKEv2 and a generic IKEv2. I tried both IKE types but neither worked.

Re: connecting through SonicWall VPN

Sounds like you may have to find some technical specs for the SonicWall and see whether the myriad of options available under the Advanced button can let you configure the PlayBook to work with it.

Did you have any luck with Sonicwall tech support to figure out how to connect from the playbook?

I would also be interested.  our company uses OpenVPN for laptops.  Wondered if I could get the Playbook to hookup as well?

Re: connecting through SonicWall VPN

I worked with my vendor that supports our Sonicwalls and we couldn't get it to work. Would love to have a solution.
