what is the gesture to highlight and copy and paste a selection of text from an email message to another destination.
I have a URL that is now showing up as a hyperlink and I need to cut and paste it out of the email.
the two finger gesture from the browser doesn't work in the email client.

Well, when I read about it I tried it, and I can says that for me it does work to copy and paste between applications, I copied text from the webbrowser, e-mail to the Word2go

Yes you can!
For example, you can copy text or hyperlink from Gmail to Word To Go.
Just keep your finger for 1or 2 seconds on your text, a small pop-up window will appears,
select copy then go back to your Word To Go,
keep your finger on the screen and the pop-up window will appear,

I have found that the documented technique does not work everywhere.
I have tried copying from the native Playbook browser and I can only copy the URL or text fields, but not from the Browser "content", like the text in a forum post. (Maybe the bridged Browser is different?)
I can copy from from one Word-to-Go document to another using the documented technique, but not from native browser content.
Is this a "security feature" perhaps? If so, it should be configurable.

This is just unbelievable. To be productive I need to be able to copy and paste from application to application, and at the top of that list would be the bridged e-mail/memo and attachments.
I am still at awe that every document I try to open from my bridged e-mail opens as "read-only", how productive is that? I need to edit these documents.
Drop the development on all these lousey games to satisfy the people who don't work and start focusing on the business end of this device!

I have to agree with bmalmquist. Need for Speed seems to work great on the Playbook. I didn't buy the Playbook to play games though. RIM needs to shift their focus from games to useful and productive apps. The apps I need to use are either missing very important features, or are just completely missing. It is somewhat disconcerting to see new apps appear in App World only to discover that the new apps are mostly games. I'm seeing lots of apps that would help me waste time, but very few that will actually help me be more productive.

the name is PlayBook, not WorkBook
There is a security model RIM has to enforce for the users on corporate email and those settings affect the copy paste while in bridge mode.
The device is still new and there will be updates/improvements in the future.
