incorrect time and date

My playbook displays the wrong date and time, cannot adjust it. Ideas? It is 3 days and 4 hours slow.

Go to home screen, on the upper right corner tap on the Sprocket icon (tools) , on the left look for "date and time" icon and tap it, you will see the adjustments for: time zone, use 24 hour time, set date and time automatically.

Re: incorrect time and date

I see people are telling you to go to settings, etc.  Well, all my settings are correct and it shows the correct time in the settings pane, but the actually clock on the homescreen is 5 minutes slower ... lol go figure!

Re: incorrect time and date

To everyone with same problem,

If going to the Settings> Date & Time. And manually adjusting the Time&Date does not fix the problem. Here is a a tip/trick I did to fix it.

  • Open your "Clock" app.
  • Swipe your finger from top to bottom. Click on "New Clock".
  • Add your Time Zone and select Clock Face (optional).
  • Click on "Set as Home Clock".
*Note: Be sure your Date & Time under Settings is set to "ON" for "Set Date and Time Automatically".
Thank You!

Re: incorrect time and date

I have the same issue, I've rebooted, restored the playbook, changed to GMT -5 but it still has an hour delay... this is frustrating...

Re: incorrect time and date

This seems to be an issue with the device not compensating for daylight savings, I am in Melbourne Australia, timezone +10 however due to daylight savings we are currently +11, as a temporary measure select a timezone relative to your current local time in your blackberry settings for me this is Vladivostok, (i will need to alternate between my actual zone and Vladivostok as daylight savings begins/ends) making new clocks does not work and will not, neither do the other suggestions here. As to the Blackberry team get your act together
