I'm rather disappointed with how this has turned out.
My Playbook has been in repair for just over 4 weeks. Now, I've been contacted by the shop where I bought it to learn that rather than providing a new Playbook I'll be able to buy other products in the shop for the same price. However, they only have more expensive versions of the Playbook and no other tablets for the same price.
