have a blackberry playbook here and cant get it to connect to the laptop at all!
when it is conntect via the usb lead on the desktop software manager it says it wont connect then comes up a message bo saying update or retry, but when i update this it does the same thing!

Is your tablet in working order?
Are you trying to connect to Windows or Mac?

Are your "other" devices "tablets"? Tablets require a higher amperage to charge on computer/laptop USB ports. If you look at your Playbook charger, you should notice it has a higher amperage output.
BTW..... iPads also do NOT charge on USB ports unless they are Apple computers.
