I got a Blackberry Playbook last Christmas and I haven't been able to use it since July. I went to charge it one day and the plug would not stay in the device. I tried the cord on my daughter's phone and it worked so it isn't the cord itself but the connection on the Playbook, it is very loose and won't stay in the socket. It was bought from Future Shop with product replacement plan so I took it there for service. I was told they don't service there because it was within the first year and to contact Blackberry directly. They gave me a phone number 1-800-327-9085 and I called but because it was after 90 days, they said I had to pay to talk to someone. I did not think that was fair as we already paid for the extended service plan from Future Shop. I tried to go on the Blackberry website and did not get anywhere there either. I have emailed them from the website and on Twitter but no reply yet. Hope to get some help very soon.
Call and explain. RIM has been very good about offering warranty service after the 90 days.
