I bought a Blackberry Playbook from an auction a few days ago, when i turn it on, it is still in setup, after the screen where i find my wifi it asks me to sign it with my Blackberry ID. I have tried this but the previous owner must have put a username and password on. I tried to type the password ten times hoping this would wipe the playbook, but all it does now is keep saying i have exceeded the number of attempts to sign in, and have been locked out for 15 minutes, then after that time i put it in wrong again and all it does is lock me out for another 15 minutes. Please help someone!
Oh by the way ive tried my Blackberry ID, and obviously as its in setup i cant get to the normal playbook homepage to reset under settings.

If you got a USB cable with it you can debrick it.
Turn Playbook right off (i.e. Shut Down)
Download latest Blackberry Desktop Software to your PC or Mac and start it up
Connect the Playbook by USB cable.
If the red light starts to glow or it starts up, press the Off button.
Because Playbook is off you will get an error message basically saying Retry or Update (on Mac it may say repair rather than Update)
Quickly select the Update (or repair) option
The Playbook will start to get a new OS that will take a good hour to download via the PC
Follow the registration process using your current Blackberry ID
