will not charge

my playbook will not charge no matter how long i keep it on the charger. right after i take it off it shuts down.

Try this: Connect the PlayBook to the charger and plug it into the wall outlet. Hold down the power button, unplug from wall, then plug in again. (Since the micro USB port can be damaged, do the unplugging at the wall outlet) .
Repeat this process 8 or nine times. Hold down the power button while unplugging and plugging back in again after 2 or 3 seconds.
After completing this 8 or 9 times, leave it plugged into the wall for 3 hours. After the 3 hours, do a three button reset. Then try a restart.
