Make sure that the application is properly installed in your work perimeter on your device as well through BDS.

Re: BES10 Push Question

The application is installed on my work perimeter. At this time, I don't have access to BES. Is there any other way of checking what the application package id is without accessing BES?

Re: BES10 Push Question

If you look at the BAR file itself for the app it would be in the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file.

You basically would take the Package-Name entry and the Package-Id entry and combine them with a period in between.

Application package identifier = Package-Name + "." + Package-Identifier

Re: BES10 Push Question

Hi Matt.

I'm facing a strange problem right now. I am able to send my push through BES and receive it on my device. However, only when the app is open or running in the background. If i close it, it's not able to receive pushes anymore. I saw a video online and it seems like it should still be able to work even when the app is closed.

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: BES10 Push Question

Hi Jeff,

You need to make sure you call launchApplicationOnPush with a value of true (before or after your create channel call).  Otherwise, the default behaviour is that if the application is not running when a push comes in, then it will be dropped.
