Blackberry: Push notification (Applicationindicator class, setNotificationState() function) backward compatibility with BB OS 5.0

I am having an blackberry application that uses push notification feature with BIS and uses blackberry  API  that are available for blackberry 6.0 and above and now I want to make it compatible with blackberry 5.0

 

there are few function that are not available when I compile the application with 5.0 JDE (obviously so)

the function like 

 setNotificationState() is not available with blackberry 5.0 how can I make my app work with blackberry 5

Hi,

 

Here's the ApplicationIndicator class for BlackBerry OS 5:

You will have to use one of the methods listed there for 5.0 support.

 

Your question isn't specific to push itself though - it's more about application indicators, so you might want to ask your question on the Java Development forum as well:
