Can't connect to Push Agent

Hello all,

I'm having some issues with Push service - all the sample apps that I've tested (Push Collector, Simple Push Client and Push Capture), including the app I'm working on, have a problem with connecting to the Push Agent (aka. the bb::data:Smiley TongueushService.hasConnection always returns false).

Relevant info from the debug log:

gid size[1]
 dname: "XXX"
 providerApplicationId: "34XX-XXXX19BDXXXX4M52XXXXXX7436XXXX2c3"
 is enterprise perimeter: false
Connect to personal/consumer agent: true
[ "cc.jlx.boreas.invoke.push" ]: /pps/services/push/ipc open failure: 6
Push pps file is not open.

The "/pps/services/push/ipc open failure" error was mentioned in an article on devblog saying that it occurs when the signature keys don't have push privilege, but I got my key a few weeks ago so that shouldn't be the isssue. I have also verified that the app has "_sys_use_consumer_push" permission in it's bar-descriptor file.

It might be worth noting that I'm testing this in Dev Alpha Simulator with SDK version, on a Mac.

Any ideas? I have a feeling I have missed something completely basic.

Re: Can't connect to Push Agent

Unfortunately, push is not supported as of now on the Dev Alpha simulator.

So, you would need a physical Dev Alpha or BlackBerry 10 device to test with.

Oh... that's a bummer in that case Smiley Sad

But thanks for the info! (I had a hunch I was doing something fundamentally wrong)
