Re: Problem in registering Push Notification.

Hi

If i turn off the WIFI i am getting the successfull registration for push service.

Now i have to ask two things:

1)Now where do i provide the url of the server from where i will get the notification.?

2) I don't want to make the alternate entry point for my application. And i want that this thread will always run in background and when any push notification comes, the notification displays on the screen.?

Re: Problem in registering Push Notification.

1) Which server are you referring to? Do you want your server to receive notification when a new device installs your app? Are you using the Push Service SDK as your server?

2) You will need an alternate entry point.

Re: Problem in registering Push Notification.

Hi I have used this sample application.

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Push-Development/Simplified-BIS-Push-client-sample...

Now after successfull registeration, i have to hit a url that is provided by my server.That's done.

Now i have  to read that message whatever is coming.

For that i have to use the PushMessageReader class .So what is the url i have to give over here?

String url = "http://:" + PUSH_PORT + CONNECTION_SUFFIX;

And 1 more thing i don;t want to make the alternate entry point for my application.I want to run the thread in background, then how to do this?
