how to test PAP PUSH in the CLIENT SIDE

hi all,

 

i succeded  to send  a  pap push  to  the server "MDS" and  getting  the  "1001" response

 i tried both  port 7874 and  port 100 and  i get  1001 response,

 

however  i  want to  get the message in the client side,  at least a push title in the notification bar or  somthing like that,

 

i cant figure it out,

 

help me please

Are you pushing to the BES or an MDS simulator?

Is the client a real smartphone or simulator? What application are you running on the client?

i'm using a BES 5.0.3
the client is a real BB device connected to bes

none of application run, i tried to push to 7874 browser listner port but no push delivered

If sending a custom data push you would need to have a client application listening for the data on the port being used. Take a look at the HTTPPushDemo for an example of how this can be done (this sample is included with any BlackBerry Java SDK).
