It was time for a new phone. I originally had a BB Curve and was able to set up an auto on and auto off.
I am wondering if this can be done on Q10.
I've been looking around at the settings and even checked the manual/help guide and nothing is listed.
Anyone know for sure?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Currently auto on/off is not available in BlackBerry 10. We appreciate the feedback though.

A quick swipe down will reveal the settings menu, and a tap on the Profile icon will toggle from Normal to Silent. That's about as easy as it gets. Is there a reason to completely shut down your BlackBerry every night?

Sorry, but that seems a strange question. Is there any reason to leave a phone powered on all night? We're killing the planet fast enough as it is. And why use up the battery? If bedisde mode is a low power state, maybe that would be appropriate, but only if it can be set to start and end automatically.
Someone suggested plugging it in and putting it into bedside mode every night, but apart from the enormous inconvenience, unreliability and wastefulness of that, the power cord is too short to reach anywhere convenient.
I've only had my Q10 since yesterday (9 hours of which have been spent with setup and a very patchy and disappointing "restore" of my old 9780), but I am seriously unimpressed. It seems to have been designed by and for people who've never used a BlackBerry before.

I'm in the same boat. Loved having auto power on with my BB Bold. I was able to turn my phone off at night so my sleep wasn't disturbed, but have the phone turn on (ie I don't mind being woken up if someone needs me after 7am etc) but not having to have an alarm set (ie I don't want to be woken up unless I'm needed)
I would really like to see this feature added in an update! Is this something that can be taken to the next level for consideration?
