Cannot connect error (AT&T)

I have an unlocked, T-Mobile branded Q10 (SQN-100-5). When I first switched to AT&T I was running an autoloader 2141 version.  I had no problems connecting from my apartment.  Since upgrading via OTA to 2156 (from Blackberry presumably), I'm constantly getting "cannot connect..." errors. If I persist, I can sometimes get a connection, but not always.  Also, if I switch the SIM to my Nexus 4, there is no problem. For the record, if I walk outside a ways, there's doesn't seem to be any problems.

 

Is this an issue with the radio (2229), or is there something about the SQN-100-5 model itself, band-wise, that is problematic with using on the AT&T network?
