I've lost my 9810 so I cannot do a device switch. I was trying to use the restore from a bbb file option. The problem is that didn't get retored the way it was supposed to.
My contacts were not migrated at all and my text messages were completely empty with phone numbers in the subject field. The phone then started to freeze and work slowly. So I decided to restore it to factory.... During the setup it started updating soft, then gave me following error:
registration failed. Your device could not be registered with the BlackBerry Infrastructure because of error(0)
I cannot skip this step or go back or anything. How do I fix this? Could it be a faulty phone?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Can you provide your PIN number so I can investigate further? Also if you remove the SIM card and place it back in, do you receive the same error?
I look forward to your reply.

Actually, sim card was the problem. It worked well when I removed it. As to the restore, I was told to do it via BB Protect since there seems to be some kind of conflict between different versions of OS. And it did work. It's just strange that BB 10 has so many bugs... One of the reasons why I wanted BB over any other phone is because it's generally more stable... oh well..
