I have no problem synching files or any other content. However, when I try to sych my Outlook calendar and contacts the synch fails and I get the following error message CPreferencesManager:Configuration value for /Preferences/ Account_2_131074 Device Pin not set in TransConfig.xml for translator RimBB. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Ewcia and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
What version of Microsoft Outlook are you currently using? Is your Outlook profile setup with a local PST file or are you using an Exchange mail account?

i have used Outlook 2007 and 2010 on two Windows PC. On both the same problem: Failure message: CPreferencesManager: Configuration Value for /Preferences/Account_2_131074/DevicePin not set in TransConfig.xml for translator RimBB
Local PST used, not Exchange Account.
Today i have made an Update on new software from BB. The same message. Only at Calendar Sync. Contact Sync is good!

I am using Outlook as part of the Microsoft Office 10 suite. The Outlook profile set up is a .pst file. I moved to Blackberry Q10 from an iPhone. I have managed to find a workaround but it is far from ideal by using my iCloud contacts linked to my icloud email account and have managed to get a synchable calendar by linking my outlook account to a hotmail account. A very complicated and round about way of doing things. At the moment I have a useable contacts folder and calendar but hardly ideal and not what I was expecting from Blackberry

I'm using Outlook 2013 via Office 365.
After few days of tests, change settings and uninstall/reinstall i fixed the pb this morning, but not for a long time.
I have uninstall and reinstall again BB LInk but the pb is still here.
I'm waiting your advice before try to reload again the BB OS on my Q10.
Thanks for your help.

This is obvious, you pay 700 USD for a Q10, to get a good phone without serving the main purpose why you bought this phone at the first place, integrating it with you most used business tool, Outlook, and you keep wondering why BB is going down?
I hope one giant comes and buy them out to get them out of their misery

Not to mention OUR misery caused by their latest toy gadget - the Q10
I agree, our misery is even more important than theirs
