Connection Problem

I just received my Q10 today and am having PROBLEMS I went to site to download software and have done that but when I go to my desktop it says software doesn't support blackberry 10 OS and I have downloaded it twice and also tried to connect my home wifi and it has said it is connected but the icon looks as if it is still searching.
