Re: Downgrade

Hey mb2squared,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

Is there any reason why you want to downgrade the device software?  You can reload the BlackBerry 10 device software to the latest production version by following the steps below:

  1. Open BlackBerry Link.
  2. Ensure the computer is connected to the Internet.
  3. Power off the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
  4. Connect the device to the computer.
  5. When the device button is available on the bottom of the BlackBerry Link window, click it.
  6. Click the Reload button.

Also the backup might not restore if the production version is lower than the current version on your BlackBerry Q10.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.

Re: Downgrade

 Dear ViciousFerret,

Thank you for your response.

The reason why i want to downgrade from the latest version of OS is because i am unable to edit or update my avatar or status or personal message, whenever i click on my avatar or display name or etc. the BBM hangs.

I tried rebooting, formatting, all options but unfortunately nothing changed.

Do you know anything about this problem or bug from the latest version of OS? If yes kindly advice because alot of friends and people that i know are facing this problem.

Regards,

Mohammed
