Email Problem

Have Q10 for the past several months. Yesterday, I noticed that I was not sending emails from the device even though I had not made any changes to the settings. I have checked the settings and keep getting error that the smtpauth server is not responding. Do I need to delete and then re-install account?

 

I am running 10.1.0.4200.

i have the same issue that occurred yesterday as well, just posted a duplicate post by accident.... glad its just not me, same error message as well

What type of service account is this for? Gmail/Yahoo/etc?

mine is for my local internet service providers email address same as like bell/rogers #threadHijack lol

POP account via Earthlink webhosting. Interestingly, I have two accounts and there is no problem with the other.

hmm, I was having a similar issue with gmail.

 

When you open the accounts settings screen, try changing the name of the account, or a simple setting and the rest of your information. I managed to get gmail to work for me by NOT changing anything and simply forcing a retry.
