How do I share my contact data with others?

[ Edited ]

Ordinarily when you get a new BB, you have to share your contact data with your regular people you communicate with, particularly those you PIN with.  It used to be easy to attach your own contact data and send it out.  Now it seems like this feature is unavailable.

I've tried from contacts to "share contact" -- didn't work.

I've tried from PIN (can't attach a contact).

I've tried emailing my own contact to someone else -- epic fail (I get the message "One or more contacts was invalid or not attached.")

I even tried to text it.  Which seems to attach a .vcf file, but that doesn't go through.

What do I do?  People are asking me for my new contact data.

In order to better help explain the best solution for your issue can you please indicate what BlackBerry smartphone you are using?

I look forward to your reply!

Do you have your own name set up as a contact in your contacts? So go to contacts, pull up your name, hit the 3 dots on the right to open the menu, hit share contact. Send whatever way you desire.

Re: How do I share my contact data with others?

For your PIN, goto your contact name, click the 3 Dots on the right (menu key), click edit. Click the + button there on the bottom of the screen, 'add field', Blackberry PIN. Add your pin to your contact. Now you can just send all your info, including your PIN.
