Re: Outlook Express email account on Q10

I faced the same problem when I first tried to configure my Hotmail Account with my Z10. The possible reason is you might have turned on Two Step Varification. In which case you'll have to first turn it off and then you'll have to configure it to the hub.

Re: Outlook Express email account on Q10

2 Step Varification means does it ask for a code that its server sends to your Mobile Number that you have configured with your account , that you have to input untill which it doesn't let you acess your account. If it does then do the thinkg I suggested in my first response..

Re: Outlook Express email account on Q10

Email activated on a #BlackBerry10 device doesn't sync to Outlook Express. It must sync to an email server of some sort.

So, what's your email SERVER Settings?

Re: Outlook Express email account on Q10

Here is what iam seeing on server settings.....
Outgoing Mail(SMTP) 25
Incoming Mail(POP)110

I don't wanna post the numerical server address here because I saw you discourage that!....But the IT people gave me that address.

Re: Outlook Express email account on Q10

No no no... you are not receiving email from Outlook express. It doesn't work that way.

Try this... Blackberry's Email Account Validation Tool.

Read here:  Article ID: KB33444 How to use the Email Account Validation Tool (EAVT)

This will tell you if your email account is valid to work on a BlackBerry10 device.
