Re: Q10 BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

how about speed dials?

How did they not add this feature? I'd like to be able to hold down any button on the keyboard from the home screen to make a call.

Re: Q10 BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

Lonhg pressing a key to speed dial is a simple yet huge value feature on blackberries with keyboards. I really hope feature is added into the Q10

Re: Q10 BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

You have to go to the Phone app, then KeyPad screen and then hold any key. This invokes speed dial.

Re: Q10 BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

Thanks for the information. However that is still 3 key presses. Speed dial on the old system was one keypress. If you are on the go, you don't want to fumble around looking for the phone icon, then fumble further looking for the keypad icon and then press the key. That is plain iefficient. It would be faster for me to use the new speed sial system where there is an icon of my favorite at the top of the phone app. At least there it would be two key presses, but still a little awkward as I have to scoll up to it.

So I really do home that the long key press spped dial returns to the home screen.

Re: Q10 BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

Hey, I need help figuring this out.

So when I type "Text <Name>" it displays the name and the phone number in the format +1 (111) 111-1111 but when I click on it and it opens the new text message the format changes to +1111111111. This is causing the phone to not recognize the name associated to the number. So in the "To" section of the new message it is showing me the number instead of the name.

Is there a solution to this? Or do I need to change every single number on my phone to the later format?
