Q10 Dead?

Dear all,

I am facing some big problem with my beloved Q10. Two nights ago i switched off the phone and put it on charge, but at the wake up, after few hours, it didn't turn on anymore.

Battery is fully charged, actually I have 2 batteries original, I both of them charged with the portable charger original BB.

Curious thing, is that If I plug the phone with all the battery it doens't charge nor switch on. But If i remove the battery, and plug to the wall charger, it will appear lighiting the yellow led for 30 seconds.

Someone told me it could be a software problem, and maybe I can downlowad the OS. But in order to install, I would need to switch on, adnd BB link nor Sachesi see the phone, nor even the laptop.

Folowing someone else suggestions, I left the phone 12 hrs charging without simcard, Sd and battery, but it didn't work. Any help or suggestion please? Phone shop ( I am in a small city of the Philippines for work) told me that connectors are fully working.

I hope that someone can really assist me.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Regards and thanks in advance.

Re: Q10 Dead?

fabiosofia80, I'm sure you're frustrated with this.

Please insert the battery and leave out the SIM card and media card.
Connect to a wall outlet charger and let it change several hours.
Then, leave the Q10 connected to the wall outlet charger and remove the battery for a minute and reinsert the battery.
What happens on screen and with the red LED?

If it doesn't reboot, leave it connected to the wall outlet charger. Push the top edge power button, anything?

Re: Q10 Dead?

Hi JSanders,

thanks a lot for your reply. I followed your suggestion, leaving the phone attached to the wall charger. When I remove the battery, the led becomes yellow for around 30 seconds. If I put the battery on, after the 30 seconds, the led light disappears.

When without battery, if I remove the charger and reinsert, the yellow led appears for 30 seconds...that's all!! Smiley Sad

Nor BB Link nor Sachesi see the phone!!

What else you suggest to do?

Regards and thanks for your appreciated support man!

Fabio

Re: Q10 Dead?

I wish I could help, but I have a 9360 with the same problem.  I just UPGRADED to a Q10.  I must admit it's discouraging to hear the same thing here.  God!  and I hate IPhones.

Re: Q10 Dead?

If I push the top edgs button (phone in charge without battery), sometimes it switches on the yellow led. If I insert the battery, it doesn't light.

If I push the volume keys for 30 seconds, nothing happens.... it doens't reboot!! Neither I do this process during the yellow led.

You should contact your Network Carrier or point of purchase as they can send it off for repair

Re: Q10 Dead?

It it what I am going to do when I will be back to Italy, my country where I purchased the phone....but meanwhile I am working in the Philippines....and pretty far from Manila, so reparation centers here!

Re: Q10 Dead?

I'd keep charging and keep trying all of the methods described.
