Q10 Deleting Email from my Mail Server, Email is gone!!!!!!!!

Lost my emails on both the handset AND the server, despite having set the deletion to be only on the handset.

My emails were deleted on the handset AND the server, after I tried to delete several emails at once by pressing on the latest date followed by the selection of all prior emails (more than 3,000). I noticed that there was no prompt "delete server and handset" or "handsett only", just "delete". I thought this would not delete the emails on the server since I set the deletion to occur only on the "handset" in the "Display and Actions".  I was wrong, all my emails where deleted on the server, and in some case, they could not be recovered having been permanently trashed.

This looks like a serious glitch with potentially serious consequences for business users.

Anybody else with the same problem?

Thanks

brunod100, yes. Deletion of multiple emails at one time reverts to delete non server & handheld.

Q10 Deleting Email from my Mail Server, Email is gone!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your prompt response.

I understand that this is a problem being currently investigated with no time frame specified.  The work around is to delete each email, one by one (with the "handset only" setting on), until this is resolved.

Regards,

BD

You should be able to move your emails back from the deleted items folder in your mailbox.

Once you hit select more then you can manually select the emails you want to delete.

What is it you are looking for, the Settings option?

or to select and delete multiple emails?
