Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

Thank you, but I just tried that, and it didn't help.  Any other suggestions?

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

Can you tell me how you are downloading these images and how you attempting to open them?

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

I'm not sure what you're asking -- this seems like a silly reply, but I get email through an email account that is linked to my BB.  If there's an attachment, I click on it to open it.  I do not attempt to save it.  This is exactly what I do with .txt files, which open just fine, as well as small picture files (less than 50 kb).  But large picture files (just tried another one that was 2. MB) do not open.

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

If you start opening the attached picture, close that email and return to it a bit later, a minute or two later, are you able to open it?

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

I just tried returning to it after 2min.  Then 5 min.  Then 8 min.  Load bar remains at the same point, just shy of finishing.  WiFi is on, and the connection is strong.  I appreciate your persistence... any other ideas?

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

Try doing so with WiFi turned off.

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

WiFi off.  Waited 10 min after clicking on attachment to open it.  Same result.  What's next?

What email address is that? Gmail, or what?

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

It's a college account with a dedicated ".edu" webmail server.  Same account works perfectly on my iPad, and worked perfectly on my old blackberry curve.  If I recall correctly, it also worked a few times on this phone, but then stopped working shortly afterward.   (By "working," I mean it was able to show attachments of any type or size. The account does everything else it's supposed to do, but can't show attached jpegs or pdfs.)

Re: Q10 JPEG attachment issue

Something obviously went wrong. Maybe you could try an OS update?
