Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

Thanks for this. Any thoughts on why Outlook sync is still outstanding? This is the most critical shortcoming with BB10 from a business user viewpoint. Suggested workarounds and 3rd party options are not the answer.

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

Calendar and Outlook 365:

when first set up 2 days ago, everything worked.

As of last night the Calendar indicates appointments but no longer what the Event is about.

Have to open each Event to read details. The carrier could not help.

Thank you for your assistance

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

I must also ask: how do we sync 1 way from Outlook to Q10 thru Link? I cannot see it either. ?

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

It's a one-way transfer to the device, not a sync. In Link, with your Q10 connected, go to the Settings icon at the upper right of the screen and the button should be then seen on the left hand panel.

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

Thanks JSanders.  I've followed that but it tells me there are 1085 contacts to be transferred, which suggests its going to duplicate what has already been transferred.  I have only added about 5 new contacts/calendae items since i did the first transfer three days ago.  So i haven't hit next as i dont want duplicates.  Is that right?

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

Hi Jerry, no i think you select your Q10 tab at the bottom (not your PC) and then you see an option on the left for importing contacts/calendars.  Only it seems to suggest transferring everything for me, not just the updates, hence my last question to JSanders.

Re: Q10 and Outlook Sync 2 ways

JerryBid, do this:

  1. Connect to the USB cable.
  2. Open Link. Allow the connection to complete and you'll see the second bottom tab with the name of your Q10.
  3. Click on the upper right Settings gear icon.
  4. Look in the left pane and you SHOULD see
  • back up now
  • Restore Device data
  • Import Contacts/Calendar
  • Remove device.

Choose the Import Contacts/Calendar
