I got my Q10 a week ago and not only that I'm very disappointed but it is also driving me crazy. I'm using my phone for business purposes and I am receving a few hundred payment confirmations by e-mail every day. On my previous Curve I had the possibility to filter and block these e-mails only for the handheld but I could keep them in my Outlook where I needed them. Now without this feature I can't - which means that my phone is ringing day and night. Although I'm a Blackberry fan, I'm now seriously considering to return my Q10 and get another smartphone that is actually smart and that I could set according to my needs.

Unfortunately no real reply here either.
I am really missing that email filter option, as I am getting quite a bit of junk mal and certain newsletters from social networks that I don't need or want on my Blackberry. On my Bold 9700 it was all nicely filtered out and left me with just the important emails.
PLEASE, PLEASE BRING THIS FEATURE BACK!

This is really terrible, getting 100s of emails from one address everyday that I need to filter.... driving me insane and seriously looking to change to smart phone that can do this...

Hi I have Bold 9900 and the feaure that allows me to block all emails with a firewall EXCEPT a list of about 30 exceptions is crtically important to me. i want to switch to a Z10 but not until I know that i will have the same ability. i have done endless research but cannot find a way to do the same thing on the z10. Please if anyone has suggestions or a work around or an app that allows this i would appreciate a response. thank you.

Unfortunately you CANNOT do this on the OS 10 range. I had a Bold 9700 before and I could filter out all amazon offers and newsletters, etc that I didn't want to receive on my phone.
Unfortunately with this feature gone, I receive ALL spam, including viagra mails and the like (stuff that I wouldn't normally see because it goes into the junk mail folder on my PC) on my phone in all their beauty.
Having subscribed to a number of mailing lists and newsletter, this is quite a considerable number of e-mails a day to wade through.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Im disappointed to hear that. I wonder if there is an app or some type of workaround by forwarding emails to gmail then applying a filter. It really is an important feature that is missing!

The email on a Blackberry 10 device is managed totally differently to previous devices. The Blackberry 10 OS does not include a native email firewall and only allows 'search based' filtering by Priority, Unread, Attachments, Flagged, Received, Today and Yesterday.
However, because of this shortfall on the OS10 platform there are some 3rd party apps designed to fill the gap.
I haven't tried any personally but 'Email SPam Blocker' (Aryan Software) available through BB AppWorld states the following abilities:
E-mail Spam Blocker is developed with the aim to help you to block unwanted or spams E-mails and keeps your Inbox clean. Along with blocking E-mail it also provides you to set different parameters for blocking E-mails led notification, auto responder etc. E-mail Spam Blocker maintains two lists:
1. Black list consist of E-mail ID's from which you don't want to receive E-mails.
2. White list consists of that E-mail ID's only from which you want to receive E-mails. If white list is activated with two E-mail IDs added in it then rest all incoming E-mails will be blocked and you will only receive E-mails from two selected E-mail IDs.
Settings: Settings allow you to set various parameters for SMS Blocker like LED light, Auto Respond E-mail message, Vibration, Save E-mail Information etc.
Note: Remember while blocking E-mails only E-mail ID and Subject will be saved not the body (Message).
Hope that helps.
