Stuck in restoring your BBM info

Hello,

 

I'm switching from 9220 to Q10. I used bb links to make the switch. Everything went smoothly but I cannot access my bbm in Q10. whenever I try to, the restoring message appears. Can anyone help me please.

Yes I'm logged into bb id

Read below

The first time that you open BBM, you are prompted for your BlackBerry ID. If you have used BBM before, consider the
following:

• If you are switching BlackBerry devices, you can use the Device Switch feature in BlackBerry Link on your computer or
on a device running BlackBerry 7 or later to transfer your device data, including your contacts and groups from BBM
6.2 or earlier, to a new device.

• If you previously associated BBM with your BlackBerry ID (for example, on your current device), you can sign in with the
same BlackBerry ID to restore your BBM data over the wireless network.

After setting up BBM, your contacts, profile, and groups are automatically backed up over the wireless network based on
your BlackBerry ID. It's still a good idea to regularly save a backup file for your device on a computer using BlackBerry Link
in case your device is lost, stolen, or corrupted.

I did everything you mentioned but no luck. When I press BBM, the restoring bbm info message appears

I'm having the same problem, switching from 9900 to Q10, BBM stuck in "Restoring your BBM information" then after sometime it says "temporary server error, please try again later" Help!!

Hi guys!

 

I think I found out what was wrong. The BBM files were too big to restore.

How to solve it?

 

restore through wifi!!

 

if it still doesn't work, do steps 1 to 8.

 

1. make sure you have BBM services (I suggest you call your network carriers)

2. back up your phone (i think Link is having problems though)

3. wipe data (i started from zero)

4. turn on Q10, during setup, do not enter any BB ID. skip that step

5. once set up is done, resend service books (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05010)

6. turn on airplane mode, then disable

7. go to BBM app

 

8. enter your old BB ID, restore over WIFI, then once done, restore phone messages etc. Smiley Happy

or

enter a new BB ID, start from scratch. Smiley Sad

 

*i'm still trying to figure out how to keep messages and contacts while using a different BB 
ID Smiley Sad

ummm.. hi! has this issue been resolved? i'm using bold 9900 and i'm facing the same issue.
