Unable to Sync my NEW Q10 with my PC

Hi Help Buddies...

  I was at last able to move my data from my PC (OUTLOOK)  to my new Q 10 using the help provoded.

 

I now have a problem that I am unable to sync my PC (OUTLOOK) and my Q 10.

I have the BB LINK and I have confirured the Contacts an Clendars.

When I click Sync Calendar / Contact , it starts syncying. Reads the data etc.

This takes a very long time almost 20 min. I do have a large data but was using the BB Desktop Software to sync my BB BOLD without any problems in less than 5 mon.

After 20 minutes it shows message on the left hand ottom corner "SYNC WAS UNSUCCESSFUL"

 

Is there any other was I can do this  ??

Please help out..

Without my updated Clalendar its become difficult to function.

I would re-install BlackBerry link. Let me know if that helps, if not there are other things we could try.

I tried my best.. I trie uninstalling and installing Bb Link again. It gives the same result.

SYNC UNSUCCESSFUL.

When I view the details it says that changes could not be written on the Device.

 

Please suggest some alternate route.

Can I use Device Switch on a daily basis to get the data from my   I phone , which sync with my Outlook without any problem.  ????

 

Looking forwaaard to some solution.

A few additional things to try...

  • try syncing the calendar and not the contacts... does that help? Sometimes it's the contacts that is messing up the calender.
  • turn off alarms, especially recurring alarms.  Try the sync.  Does it save?
  • explore different conflict resolution settings while trying the sync.

I have one more issue now.

I put on the alarm mode at night which shows the clock in red.

Today I realised that the phone goes in to silent mode and does not ring.

I want it to be in PHONE ONLY mode to attend to emergencies.

Is there any way that can be done ??

I wish to seee the time at night and also receive the calls as it was possible in BB 9900.

To clarify.... does the sync work...

  • if the alarm is enabled?
  • what happens if you turn contacts back on now?
  • what happens if you go through the conflict resolution options?  Sometimes after a good sync it works again.

1) Tried with Alarm disabled.. Does not sync Contact

2) Tried syncing Contacts and Calendars bith again... Does not Sync .. shown unsucessful.

3) tried syncing calendar only.... Works fine..

4) Theres no conflict resolution poping up.

 

 

5) I have various clanders being shown on my Q -10.

I have disabled 'Home' calendar and Kept "BBLink' calendar ON (abled)   as I was getting double entries after syncing with mycomputer.

Would this create any  issues with the entiries/ changes that I make either on the Computer or my BB?
