WiFi not staying connected

The WiFi does not stay connected and does not re-connect when I am in range (like at home) of the access point. Any ideas? Do I need a new phone?

Re: WiFi not staying connected

no, you do not need a new phone. Go to settings and delete the wifi access enabled point in the saved networks folder.
Reboot the phone by battery pull, and go to Wifi settings and connect to the network.
Never click on your network name , if you have several network option available.
If you have two networks available, and you prefer one on the other that is connected, and press on the one you prefer to select it, the phone will not auto connect on this network anymore.
It is stupid, but it is like that
