Re: battery drain

After each revision...

  • restart the phone
  • ensure wifi is turned on and connected
  • plug the phone in overnight
  • restart the phone in the morning

This allows any background updates to complete, while ensuring the battery is not drained.  May need to repeat a few days later as some apps take a few days to push out their updates.

Re: battery drain

the phone also turns hot and the system works at 80/85%, it looks like it is searching something, even with bluetooth and NFC off...

Re: battery drain

I am having the exact same issue since loading the upgrade on Thursday. Today no calls, 1 text message and 6 emails -- my battery lasted 4 hours off the charger.

Did the restarts, battery pulls, and phone always is on the charger all night w. WI-FI on ---- try again that's not the fix.

Also, oddly,  my first calendar sync turned off all reminders.  Check your calendar before you miss an appointment tomorrow !  Anyone else have this issue ?

Re: battery drain

Hello kwevil,

In app manager>device monitor what do you see as bigger consumer for the battery and cpu?

Re: battery drain

yesterday -- cpu shows at 35% most of the day   average reports out at 19 %

Battery started at 100%  and shows a straight dive to 0 in the 4-5 hours.  I read that as a straight drain of power with the cpu running at 35%.
