custom vs default ring tones

Recently bought Q10. Trying to set up like previous BlackBerry. Have set custom rings for calls and text messages for a number of individuals. And though they are saved, they always notify with the DEFAULT tones.

What is the problem?

Which message notifications aren't functioning correctly on your BlackBerry Q10? Also, if you are setting up, for example email notifications, make sure the email address is associated with their contact in the Address Book.
